The core belief in j
douglas' philosophy is to envision sales professionals as valuable
members of our clients' teams. "We believe that given the opportunity,
we can assist our clients in achieving their business goals by helping
them in long term planning, product selection and merchandising. One
of the crucial stepping stones to our success as sales professionals
is the ability to provide our clients with tools that insure the success
of their business," says Doug Self.
We can accomplish this by keeping focused on five basic goals. First,
we will establish a common agenda with our client that seeks out profitability
for everyone. Profitability for all is first and foremost. Second,
we are committed to bringing to our clients the best value, finest
quality and most sophisticated home accents from manufacturers around
the world. We do not strive to be the largest sales organization by
carrying a surplus of lines that are incompatible; rather, we will
continue an ongoing process of focusing on the best lines for our clients.
Next, we pledge to stay apprised of the latest and newest products
in our field by keeping an ear attuned to our manufacturers and the
trends introduced and viewed at markets throughout the world, including
New York, Atlanta, High Point, and Europe, thus, giving our clients
the competitive advantage.
In addition we earnestly seek the involvement in our business of not
only all sales personnel but also manufacturers and clients. Thus, the
establishment of a team of representatives from each of the territories
who shall meet twice a year to counsel, advise, consult and recommend
practices on all fronts of the j douglas'
enterprise. This team will be the eyes and ears that travel throughout
the world accumulating marketing strategies and cutting edge ideas in
color, design, trends, etc.
Lastly, we focus wholeheartedly on being a service
organization, dedicated to achieving significant volume in sales, yet
concentrating all the while on building relationships with our clients
and our manufacturers.
